2023 South East Asian Fencing Federation Championship A Success

The South East Asian Fencing Federation Championships are a premiere event in the fencing calendar, and this year’s edition was a great success with a total participation of more than 500 athletes from the SEA Federations active members (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. A total of 132 cadet fencers, 175 junior fencers and 203 senior fencers participated in this event. This competition was supposed to be hosted by the Vietnam Fencing Federation, but they decided to grant the hosting to the Malaysian Fencing Federation.

The competition was held at the Arena Tan Sri Hamzah, Level 3 Olympic Council Malaysia (OCM) in what was an incredibly successful SEAFF, the Vietnam Team emerged Victorious with winning the most number of medals in Junior and Senior Category, while the Malaysian Fencing Team placed number 1 in the medal tally in the Cadet Category.
