Singapore’s fencing team won two more gold medals at the 2025 SEA Games on 19 December, raising their total to eight and setting a new record for the event.
The men’s épée team, comprising Si To Jian Tong, Azfar Luqman Ong, Simon Lee, and Bron Sheum, delivered a strong performance. They defeated defending champions Vietnam 44–34 in the final to win gold.
Later that day, the women’s foil team—Amita Berthier, Maxine Wong, Cheung Kemei, and Stephanie Lee—defended their title with a 45–32 win over the Philippines, securing Singapore’s eighth fencing gold of the Games.
These victories brought Singapore’s total gold medal count at the 2025 SEA Games to 51, marking the nation’s most successful fencing campaign.
